Coach Fleet in Bus Simulator 27

Coach buses are new to the Bus Simulator series in Bus Simulator 27. They are not stretched city buses, and they should not inherit city rankings. This page ranks the confirmed long-distance coaches for work between Felicia Bay’s coastal city, Mequina, and its mountain city, Alcaztelar. For district transit types, use city buses. For battery and hydrogen city models, use electric buses.

The Steam demo already lets you sample the job: long-distance legs with the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo linking Mequina and Alcaztelar. That run is the calibration set for every other coach below. If a later garage pick cannot hold a highway line, a mountain descent, or a timed intercity timetable as cleanly as the Tourismo you already drove, it does not outrank it on this list.

Ranking rule

We rank named coaches by how well they fit long-distance Felicia Bay work — fewer stops, more luggage, longer scenic legs, and a different driving rhythm than a city loop. Year 1 extras sit below the launch trio because they are not part of the opening garage in the same way.

1. Mercedes-Benz Tourismo — the public long-distance reference, and the coach you can already drive in the demo.
2. Scania Irizar i8 — premium touring coach, ranked just behind the Tourismo until more in-game time exists.
3. MAN Lion’s Coach — the third confirmed launch coach, same job, slightly less public driving time.
4. Mercedes-Benz Intouro — Year 1 DLC, treated as an interurban extra rather than a launch flagship.
5. FlixBus expansion — later in Year 1, reported for July 2027; a content plan, not a launch pick.

Mercedes-Benz Tourismo — rank 1

The Tourismo is the coach Bus Simulator 27 has actually put in players’ hands. Demo long-distance missions use it on the Mequina–Alcaztelar corridor, which is exactly the job this type exists for: leave the city, hold a line through coastal and mountain scenery, keep a timetable that is measured in districts rather than consecutive street stops.

Rank it first because it is the only coach with a public driving baseline. Mirror work, length, and braking on descents toward Alcaztelar all feel different from the Urbino 12 electric city line. Scania Irizar i8 — rank 2

The Irizar i8 is a premium touring body on Scania, confirmed alongside the Tourismo and Lion’s Coach as a launch long-distance bus. On paper it is the same job: intercity passengers, luggage, longer legs. On this ranking it sits just behind the Tourismo because the demo does not yet give the same public hours in the seat. Treat it as a second touring flagship for Career and Sandbox once the garage opens, not as a city artic in disguise.

If you run 4-player co-op, the Irizar i8 is a strong “second driver” coach: one player on the Tourismo timetable, another on a parallel scenic service, inspector or passenger in the back. Crossplay does not change the ranking; the route still has to be a coach route.

MAN Lion’s Coach — rank 3

The Lion’s Coach completes the confirmed launch trio. MAN is a returning manufacturer; this is the named coach, not a city Lion. Rank it with the other touring coaches for Felicia Bay’s long legs. It does not drop because it is worse on a spec sheet this wiki does not have. It sits third because public hands-on time is thinner than the Tourismo, and because three launch coaches should not be forced into fake numerical gaps.

Use the Lion’s Coach when you want a second or third intercity line without cloning the Mercedes-Benz silhouette. Keep it off Mequina’s five-stop beach shuttles. Those remain city-bus work.

Mercedes-Benz Intouro — Year 1 DLC, rank 4

The Intouro is confirmed as Year 1 DLC, not as a launch-trio coach. In real networks an Intouro often sits closer to interurban and regional work than a full touring flagship. This wiki will not invent in-game stats, but it will not pretend the Intouro is a fourth Tourismo either. Rank it as the first Year 1 coach extra: useful when you want more long-distance variety after Advance Access and the season pass content land.

If you are choosing editions before 8 September 2026, read the season pass and pre-order pages. Year 1 Advance Access starts 3 September 2026; the Intouro is part of that year’s paid extras, not a reason to skip the launch Tourismo.

FlixBus expansion — later Year 1, not a launch rank

A FlixBus expansion is planned later in Year 1, with press coverage pointing at July 2027. That is a branded long-distance layer on top of the licensed coach job, not a model you can park in the opening garage. Do not rank FlixBus against the Tourismo today. Track it on the season pass page and come back when a pack actually lists vehicles.

How coaches differ from city buses

Coaches change the route, not just the dashboard. You run fewer stops, you carry luggage, and you spend more time on the roads that connect Felicia Bay’s twenty districts instead of circulating one of them. The coach routes guide is the operational half of this ranking: a Tourismo on the wrong city loop is a wasted launch feature.

Driving implications:

• Longer wheelbase and more rear overhang than a rigid city bus.
• Higher speed sections between Mequina and Alcaztelar, including mountain grades.
• Timetables that punish a missed departure more than a missed inner-city stop.
• Passengers who boarded for a journey, not a three-stop hop — keep the ride stable.

Do not mix this list with Deluxe city electrics. The HESS lighTram 12 Plug and Alexander Dennis Enviro100EV are city tools, even if they look special in the garage.

What this page will not rank

Volvo, Scania’s wider truck-and-bus family, and any unnamed MAN or Mercedes-Benz city chassis stay off this list. CNG, electric, and hydrogen notes belong on the electric buses page unless a coach powertrain is actually named. No thirteenth manufacturer gets a ghost coach.
