Bus Simulator 27 Tools Hub

Steam specs, wheel support, and Unreal Engine 5 graphics — the PC setup pages to read before you start a Felicia Bay route.

Tools Hub

This hub is the PC setup corner of the Bus Simulator 27 wiki. It does not rank buses and it does not replace the guides. Use it when you need to know whether a machine can run Unreal Engine 5 Felicia Bay, whether a wheel is worth plugging in, or which upscalers the demo actually added.

The full game is scheduled for 8 September 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Year 1 Advance Access from 3 September 2026. A Steam demo has been playable since 15 June 2026. That demo is the only public performance lab this wiki will cite: it is a beta-status build, it is not the finished game, and it is still the best way to test CPU, GPU, and input before launch week.

What lives here

Three child pages cover the questions players actually search:

  • System requirements — Steam minimum and recommended specs, with a note that Epic and other store pages can list different numbers.
  • Steering wheels — official “popular wheels and gamepads” support, still being finished on the road to launch, plus the Logitech G923 Xbox demo-patch improvement.
  • Graphics settings — NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, optional frame generation, and demo stutter advice without invented preset names.
  • PC modding — official mod.io kit for custom buses and skins on Windows only, not in the demo and not on consoles.

Read them in that order if you are buying a PC or a wheel. Read graphics first if the demo already runs and you only want a smoother frame time.

Why tools matter for this game

Bus Simulator 27 is built in Unreal Engine 5. Felicia Bay is a 20-district twin-city region with coastal Mequina, mountain Alcaztelar, traffic, passengers, and a full day-night cycle. That combination is heavier than a small indoor sim. Steam’s published floor is Windows 11 64-bit, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 / RX 580-class GPU. The recommended line jumps to 32 GB and a GTX 2080 Ti / RX 7800 XT-class card. If those numbers surprise you, open the system requirements tables before you pre-order hardware around a trailer.

Input is the second tax. Keyboard and gamepad will take you through the demo. A wheel is the fantasy, but Simteract has said support is still work in progress, with some devices working fully and others only in part. The 18 June 2026 demo patch improved Logitech G923 Xbox support; community videos often show a G29. None of that is a compatibility matrix. The steering wheels page explains what is official, what is still being polished, and why in-game sensitivity is the first thing to check. Pair it with the controls list so you are not mapping doors in traffic.

Graphics is the third tax. Demo performance was one of the loudest Next Fest topics. The same 18 June 2026 patch brought NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR forward from the planned full-game feature set, and those options may also offer frame generation on supported hardware. Use the graphics settings page and the demo patch notes together. Do not invent graphics preset names this wiki has not seen in a patch.

How to use the demo as a test bench

The demo guide covers the tutorial, a Mequina city line in the Solaris Urbino 12 electric, and long-distance Tourismo legs toward Alcaztelar. That mix is useful for hardware:

  • City route: passengers, stops, dense streets, more CPU-side traffic and pedestrians.
  • Coach route: longer views, mountain grades, a different draw distance test.
  • Wheel or pad: both routes punish a bad sensitivity curve.

If the city line stutters and the coach line does not, you are probably hitting simulation load, not only resolution. If both stutter until DLSS or FSR go on, start with upscalers before you buy a new GPU. If a wheel works in menus and drifts on the road, that is an input problem, not a spec-sheet fail.

What this hub will not do

It will not publish a fake FPS chart for every GPU. It will not copy Epic’s numbers over Steam’s without a warning. It will not list every racing wheel on earth as “fully supported.” It will not treat the full game as shipping before 8 September 2026.

When you have a stable frame and a usable input map, leave this hub and go drive. The getting started guide, the fleet hub, and the Felicia Bay map are the next useful clicks. Come back here when a patch changes DLSS, FSR, or wheel behaviour, starting with the demo patches log.

Spec first, wheel second, upscaler third. That order will save more launch-week routes than any unnamed graphics preset or a compatibility table this wiki refuses to fake.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Bus Simulator 27.

What PC specs does Bus Simulator 27 need?

Cite Steam: Windows 11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1060 / RX 580 at minimum; 32 GB and a GTX 2080 Ti / RX 7800 XT recommended. Other stores can list different numbers.

Are steering wheels supported?

Popular wheels and gamepads are supported, but Simteract has said support is still being finished toward launch. Some devices work fully, others only in part.

Does the demo include DLSS and FSR?

Yes. The 18 June 2026 demo patch added NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. On supported hardware those options may also offer frame generation.

Should I buy new hardware from the demo alone?

Use the demo as a test, not as a final verdict. It is a beta-status build. Try DLSS or FSR and a frame cap before you replace a GPU.

Where do I go after the PC is set up?

Open the getting started guide, then the demo walkthrough and controls list. This hub is for specs, wheels, and graphics only.
